Amy Adams is ‘The Woman in the Window’ in New Trailer for Joe Wright’s Netflix Thriller

“Don’t go looking into other people’s houses. You won’t like what you see.”

Disney’s 20th Century Studios had been set to release Joe Wright‘s thriller The Woman in the Window in theaters last May, but that was before everything changed. The movie ultimately didn’t end up being released at all, and subsequently found an entirely new home at Netflix. The film will premiere on May 14, and Netflix has released a new trailer today.

In the Rear Window-esque The Woman in the Window, a psychological suspense thriller directed by Joe Wright (Hanna, Darkest Hour), an agoraphobic child psychologist befriends a neighbor across the street from her New York City brownstone, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play.

Amy Adams leads the film’s cast, alongside an ensemble including Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Julianne Moore.

Tracy Letts’ screenplay is based on the best-selling novel by A.J. Finn.
