Coronation Street legend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is set to face Carla Connor’s (Alison King) wrath, as they fall out over Adam Barlow’s (Sam Roberson) decision.

Viewers will know that Sarah was less than pleased when she discovered that Adam had agreed to get tested to check if he was a match to be a liver donor for Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).

She has words with him on the matter in upcoming scenes, and Adam ultimately changes his mind.

Carla, of course, is not too pleased when she discovers Adam has reconsidered, but it’s Sarah who she holds responsible.

Animosity, as ever, ensues.

‘I think Sarah feels that she’s been left out of the conversation,’ Tina O’Brien told Metro.co.uk, ‘Carla knows more than she does, and it’s her husband agreeing to go ahead with these quite invasive tests and I think she feels left out and hurt.

‘She’s not very sensitive about the situation, if I’m honest, the way she responds to it is: “this is a very bad idea and I don’t think you should be doing this, you’re young, you’re healthy, you have your life ahead of you, don’t do it. Peter is just going to get drunk again and need another liver!”

‘I think she knows that Carla will likely blow, but I don’t think what she is expecting is for Carla to say, you’re doing this because you’re annoyed that you slept with him which… I don’t know if Sarah is doing it for that reason or not. Maybe there is a little bit of that, but maybe it’s thinking more about their future.’

While Sarah seemingly stands by her decision to talk Adam out of the procedure, actress Tina reckons that – if a cat fight was to take place between the character and adversary Carla – then Carla would pick up the victory!

‘She would! She bloody would, it’s not fair! But in fairness to Sarah she has got a gob on her too and she can hold her own. Some of the things she says can be quite mean, and although Carla comes across as a tough cookie I think she is vulnerable, she’s had a really tough couple of years and I think Sarah can sometimes say some things that can be a bit wounding.
