What started as Alina simply moving in with Tyrone and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) has now developed into a storyline that promises to test Tyrone’s relationship with his wife like never before.
Alina has enjoyed spending time with Tyrone, and Ty has evidently felt the same. Alina has provided something new for him, which has now spiralled, and the two of them clearly having feelings for each other.
Alina’s chemistry with Tyrone might have come as a surprise to viewers, but as actress Ruxandra explains, it’s the caring and humorous side to the mechanic that resulted in her falling for him.
‘She definitely likes the fact that Tyrone has a sense of humour,’ Ruxandra told Metro.co.uk. ‘He makes her laugh, that’s for sure.
‘He’s protective over her and tries to help her every time she is in a bit of trouble or unsure about different things, he is trying to be by her side. That’s very important for her.’
‘He’s a protective figure in her life,’ she added. ‘He makes her feel like she belongs on the street.
‘He makes her feel so welcome and like she has a place.’
