‘Diablo Immortal’ Closed Alpha Test Underway, Introduces New Features

While not as anticipated for some as Diablo IV or Diablo II: Resurrected, Blizzard is still working away on Diablo Immortal, which has started its Closed Alpha test. The test is limited to Australian users, but introduces “loads of new updates, features, and systems for players to delve into.”

Among the new content is a new endgame and PvP system called The Cycle of Strife, which is a faction-based endgame system. The system allows players to fight as either Shadows or Immortals through various PvP and PvE activities. You can also compete in The Battleground, a new 8v8 PvP team battle.

Expanded content in the Closed Alpha includes a new class in the Crusader, which is a mid-range hybrid caster/melee fighter, as well as an increased level cap, two new zones and a new dungeon in the form of the Cavern of Echoes.

The Closed Alpha will stay live for several weeks to “ensure players will be able to experience all content to the fullest with ample time to provide feedback.”

Diablo Immortal is currently in development for Android and iOS devices.
