LAPD Officers Shoot Allegedly Armed Man Outside Olympic Station – CBS Los Angeles
PICO-UNION (CBSLA) — Los Angeles Police Department officers shot an allegedly armed man outside of the Olympic Station Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Street and Vermont Avenue, according to LAPD.

According to initial reports, a confrontation between the allegedly armed man and police officers took place before officers shot the man and took him into custody.
No officers were injured, and the man’s condition was not immediately known.

This marks the 6th police shooting involving the #LAPD since Tuesday of last week. Two of those were fatal.

The investigation into the shooting was ongoing. Vermont Avenue was closed in both directions at 11th Street.
