Run-down house filled with rubbish on sale for just £90k – but needs a clean

At just £90,000, this three-bedroom terraced house in Statonbury, Milton Keynes, is a bit of a bargain.

But there’s a reason the price is so low: the property would need a proper deep clean before you’d dare to move in.

Take a look at photos of the home and you’ll see piles of rubbish both inside and out, along with caked-on grime and a rather troubling toilet.

Enter through the front door, which is sealed with tape, and you’ll find the kitchen.

Here sit bags of clothes, overflowing laundry baskets, scraps of paper and old leaflets, and items left to rot.

In the living room, a TV sits on top of old crates, piles of litter block your path through, and old posters stay stuck on stained walls.

Are we suspicious of the fact that only the back of the TV is being shown in these photos? Yes. (Picture: Zoopla/BPM)

There are three bedrooms, each with their own clutter, but the real horror show has to be the bathroom, which has a concerning layer of grubbiness on the floors, walls, and bath.

We won’t dwell too much on the toilet, but it’s not in great shape.

Throughout the house you’ll also spy plastic buckets, placed to collect water dripping through the ceiling.

There is a garden, but as you might expect, it’s pretty overgrown and in need of a clearout.

Location-wise, though, the house is in a good spot.

It sits within a cul-de-sac within close access of the centre of Milton Keynes, a woodland area, a football pitch, and a skate park.

So if you’re willing to dedicate some serious time to decluttering and scrubbing, the property could be a decent family home.

And for £90k, it’s far cheaper than your average three-bed house in the area.

The house will go up for auction on April 22. Here’s hoping whoever buys it will document the clean-up process, as we know that’ll be immensely satisfying to watch from afar.
